Success can be brought to us by both nature and nurture. Maryam Al-Ali, a Qatari athlete, wanted to be a footballer. She wanted to follow in her father’s footsteps. Mubarak Al-Ali is one of Qatar’s most celebrated footballers of all time, playing in a period when Qatar had an extraordinary group of gifted players. As Maryam grew, however, she found a greater love for horses and has been competing at the highest level of show-jumping for the last few years.
